1. The entry form must be completed in full, signed by the entrant or, where applicable, the nominator and must illustrate eligibility. Incomplete entries will be deemed invalid. 2. To verify the eligibility and viability of businesses and assist the judging, entrants may be asked to provide certain information to organisers for the use of the judging panel. 3. Details of all entrants will be collected by Ethnic Business Awards Pty Limited (ACN 124 326 996) (“EBA”) and entered into a database for the purpose of conducting the Awards. EBA will provide the database to sponsors of the Awards, to be used for the purpose of marketing their products to entrants. Entrants may access /change their data by contacting EBA. 4. All entrants must have been born outside Australia and be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia. 5. Entrants must own/part own and operate a business in Australia. 6. Entries will be accepted in the following two categories: Category 1: Small Business with turnover less than and including AUD$5m per annum. Category 2: Medium/Large Business with turnover greater than AUD$5m per annum. Category 3: Indigenous in Business Category. 7. Entries for the Ethnic Business Awards must be received by email to awards@ethnicbusinessawards.com or by mail to The Ethnic Business Awards - Level 2, 256 Norton Street Leichhardt NSW 2040 no later than close of business on the final day of the nominations period as advised by EBA management or staff. if you are unsure, please contact the office on 0295685022. 8. One Award recipient in each category will be selected from the finalists. The Award winner in each category will receive a crystal trophy, $10,000 cash towards their business or charity of choice and other gifts from our sponsors. 9. At the discretion of EBA, selected details of the Award winners information and story may be published or communicated to third person in connection with the Awards and their promotion and sponsorship. Under no circumstances shall EBA be liable for payment of any kind (including royalties, charges or damages) for the use of such materials. Entrants understand and accept that their name and/or the name of their organisation may be used in the conduct and promotion of the Awards and the entrants warrant that have all necessary approvals from any third parties to agree to this condition. 10. The matter of judging, the criteria taken into account and the selection of persons for the short list, finalists and category winners are in the absolute discretion of EBA and decisions are final. No correspondence will be entered into. The organisers accept no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries. 11. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, EBA excludes all liability for any personal injury or loss or damage, including loss of opportunity, whether direct or indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the holding of the Ethnic Business Awards. 12. All entries become the property of EBA. 13. While EBA will use their best endeavours to ensure that the awards take place in accordance with published guidelines, EBA will not be responsible for any loss or damage to any sponsor or third party arising from the need to modify or even cancel the awards as a result of circumstances reasonably outside the control of EBA. 14. If the details in this application or any subsequent information supplied to EBA by or on behalf of the entrant is found to be, or subsequently becomes, incorrect, the entrant must notify EBA of the inaccuracy. 15. If information about an entrant becomes available to EBA at any time and such information, at the absolute and unfettered discretion of EBA, is considered likely to bring the Awards into disrepute if the entrant is permitted to remain in the Awards, EBA may at any time by notice in writing disqualify the entrant. In this event the entrant acknowledges that he or she will have no claim against EBA arising from such disqualification.
